Today is the anniversary of the 1996 agreement on creation of a union between Russia and Belarus. This date became the reason for a picket outside the Russian Embassy in Mensk.

The police assaulted the young people literally one minute after the beginning of the picket, when the activists were trying to spread the banner “No to Russia, Yes to Europe!” and to display a white-red-white flag. Two activists from the group “Jeans for Freedom” were detained.
