On January 17 in Mensk students commemorated a month anniversary of the law which eliminated student and other benefits from the Belarusian legal landscape. Students read a vow, which, among other things, included the following words: “I am a student, I swear to ride for free in all public transportation carriers and, if possible, in the subway. I also swear to demand our government to return the benefits.”

The students participating in the protest wore white hats with rabbit years, ate cabbage and carrots. People stared and laughed.
