BUNT Activists from Babruisk Congratulated Veterans with Victory Day

During the celebratory activities on Victory Square in Babruisk on May 9 BUNT activists congratulated WWII veterans with Victory Day. They gave the veterans flowers and cards. One should say that grandpas and grandmas very positively regarded the Belarusian language; they gave words of thanks and shook hands with BUNT activists.

One can differently view contemporary implications of that war, discuss changes of occupation regimes and authoritarian manipulation of the lives of common citizens. However, the following should not cause any doubt: 63 years ago our grandparents defeated one enemy that attempted to conquer Belarus. They selflessly fought for freedom of their homeland and the future of their children. They believed in victory and came out victorious. Today we should follow their example, since even today our country is under occupation. Today, however, it is the internal enemy – lukashism. We defeated fascism, thus, we will defeat lukashism as well.
